A walk through the historic Sponge Docks area of Tarpon Springs, Florida, which includes a number of shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The area has long been known for its sponge harvesting and thriving Greek culture after Greek immigrants settled there in the early 1900s and began harvesting sponges from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Visitors to the Sponge Docks can sample Greek food and browse the stores for natural sea sponges.
