Trail is nice and easy so we added the Butterfield and Kurl Trails for distance.
Nice trail with long boardwalk and swinging bridge. Beautiful scenery. Historical grist mill at the Krul Lake end. So several people with dogs despite signs saying no dogs on trail. If you insist on taking your dogs please take lots of water as there no places along the way to get water for you pet. Saw several over heated dogs.
Very easy trail! There are many observation decks along the creek and a suspension bridge. Half of the trail is boardwalk, while the other is a sandy trail, but very nice. My toddlers loved it. Will definitely revisit. Krul Lake looked like a great summertime swimming hole.
As stated, excellent trail for families. The comfortable and well-marked trail runs between two excellent and recently updated campground facilities (Krul Lake and Bear Lake). It's a nice walk through two very different habitats: creek/water and higher elevation sand/pine.
Great trail! Would of gave it 5 stars if it was a loop. The walk back went waaaayyyy fast compared to the way out (obviously) but besides that with the gristmill and suspension bridge a nice unique walk. If you go early enough walk to the lake when you’re done and cool off in the water. I recommend.
My 9 year old and I went for a little day trip and this was super cute! The board walk was very slippery due to rain but the rest of the trail was great! Lots of plant species we even saw a deer and lots of lizards! Nice place to swim before the trail begins and ends at a nice lake where you can camp!
Just a reminder to stop recording at the end of your hike. If your pace is 45+mph people are going to question whether your hiking or not. 8-)
This is a nice trail with some incline in areas. Nice scenery with the trail running along the river and a boardwalk on a portion of the trail leading to a suspension bridge to cross over the river. At the Krull lake end of the trail there is an old water mill and an area to swim. Overall it's a nice trail for a short hike.
