This an out-and-back trail that will lead you from the campground/museum area of the state park to the headwaters of the Silver River. Of course, the trail can also be completed backwards.

This is a great out and back trail that will bring you from the campground/museum area to the headwaters of the Silver River. Some of the trail is shaded but at least half of the trail had no tree cover so you are hiking in the full Florida sun. The trail is mostly hardpacked with some of the trail being soft sand.
