Shadow Bay Park Loop is a 1.2 mile loop trail located near Orlando, Florida that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and offers a number of activity options.
nice easy walk. I was looking for more of a hiking trail than a paved walking path. for what it was it was beautiful.
The loop shown on all trails is an all paved loop; however, if you prefer unpacked there are plenty of sections of trail out there. Most of it is a sand/pine needle/ grass mix, easy walking and shaded most of the time. We did about 2 miles on our revised path. Gopher tortoise burrows, Florida wildflowers and some nice scrub areas along the way. Parking is shared with the tennis complex so can be quite busy especially if there is a tournament. Multi use trail.
Very nice park with beautiful trails. The playgrounds are closed for Covid safety . I came with my dogs for the trails. There are plenty of nice side trails off the main paved that are also well kept. We saw a nice collection of wildlife . A beautiful Labor Day adventure.
Trail is initially hard to find, all paved, trail takes you past a water treatment plant so it smells like absolute garbage while passing that part. There weren’t too many people on the trail though so that was nice. Less of a nature trail and more of a sidewalk trail.
Shadow Bay park has short, easy trails, busy with activity. My favorite trail jogging sections are behind Lupine Pond in the northeast corner of the property. Park Rangers are on-site & patrol the park, which includes tennis, basketball, fishing & plenty of parking. The only drawback is that the paved sections can feel claustrophobic at times with blind corners & high corridors.
Well preserved trail. No big challenge, just chilling and walking on a sandy/gravy trail. Shaded in most part of it.
