A lot of 10 foot wide dirt roads, not many tight walking trails.

Gorgeous day, cool breezes, did the north and south loops, moderately traveled for about 1 mile in then thins way out. Trails were clean, probably in part due to the efforts last week to pick up litter from the local trails. Lots of sugar sand- my favorite. Twisty trails through pine, palmettos.

Bird watchingGreat!

Very unique shrubbery for Florida. Unlike any Florida trial I’ve been on. We took the north loop which is about 3.2 miles. Sandy most of the way but when you get into the trees it’s easy walking. Nice shade for about half of the trail as well. Very dry, only hit 1 small puddle the whole way. 10/10 would recommend! Nice easy hike!

Not the best at marking trails but if you use AllTrails to record it you’ll be okay. We went off the trail and realized and had to turn around. The trail is a lot of sand so it’s quite the workout. Overall really liked it!

It’s what you’d expect from coastal scrub habitat— dry, sandy, and not the most impressive to look at. Scrub is definitely an under appreciated Florida habitat, but this trail has a lot of diversity which is fun to walk through. The trail was really confusing towards the eastern end. It had dead ends but then random trail exits. We actually got lost because the trails were unclear and ended up walking through about a mile of sugar sand. Overall, it was a nice hike. Go on a cool day!

the beauty of the trail is 4 stars but I had to knock it one because like other reviews said its hard to follow. we followed the white trail which was dry other than the far south end. didn't see any animals but plenty of plant life and sand

As usual trail was confusingly marked. We wanted the North loop and followed the white markers, but found ourselves off the trail we inputted. Good news was we found a new section of the trail. Winding, sugar sand, plant markers, fun trail. We stopped following it about 2 miles in because of mud and water. Nice 3 mile hike, easy trek.

Some sections are very very muddy. Need high top boots. Trail is mostly sandy paths and sandy roads with a small section of marsh.

trail colors on legend don't match trail markers. we followed the white marker 1.9 mile trail. narrow in most parts, very enjoyable. this met up with the blue trail, which we briefly followed. was washed out about quarter of a mile into it. although we had to circle back, it was nice to briefly explore that trail.

Nice I didn’t do much past the sandy area there was a trail marking where you could go right or left it was a bit wet so I didn’t finish to completion. Seems great for biking. Was still nice saw 5 turtles. Very clean

Took the white trail and was loving it until we got to the backside. Trail ended in ankle deep water, kept hoping we would come out of it. White trail intersected with the blue trail. Happy to see a map posted, but there was no marker to show were you were. Felt really bad for our dog. Won’t do this trail again in the rainy season. Bring a compass

Long stretch of the trail has no shade, so bring water in a hot day. Hiking in sand was more time and energy consuming than I expected. The part of the trail near ICW was flooded and I had to hike in ankle deep water. It was quiet, I only saw one guy with a dog during the 1.5 hours it took me to finish the loop.

Pleasant walk through varied environments. Best after thunderstorms the previous afternoon (summer) as the sandy trail is firmer and easier walking.

This is a decent place to get away from bustle of the suburbs. I go there once a month for the last nine years. It's three stars at best. Two when there's a bunch of dogs on the trail.

This is a finicky trail that at some points isn’t clearly marked; I wound up back at the start at one point. The AllTrails map isn’t quite accurate either; it only includes the North Loop and not the South. I had to leave lots of waypoints in case I got lost. Also there are blue blazes that lead to a different, unexplained trail. At least it’s got water and bathrooms at the trailhead. ETA: There are blaze marker keys and better maps on the trailhead than what is shown here. I’ll try to upload my pictures so you don’t make the same mistake I do
