HikingBugsGreat!Off trail

i really like this! it’s close to my apartment so i can walk to it from there. wouldn’t recommend going alone probably if you’re a woman just bc of the crime in tallahassee but still fun! there’s some that branches off into the woods and there’s lots of directions you can take to just wander around

Very crowded trail that winds through a small forest. Tons of invasive species and not very well kept, but a good short hike if you live in the area. Lake is a great picnic spot complete with a dog park and a short boardwalk. Came across 3 Pileated Woodpecker in the parking lot, keep an eye out!

Good location and close to the FSU campus. Shorter distance.

CAUTION - DO NOT GET NEAR THE POND WATER! The pond water has blue-green algae and possible toxins from the algae. If you, your child or your pet got sick after being near any of these ponds, per the FL Dept of Health report it to Florida Poison Control Center 1-800-222-1222. Blue-green algae means it likely is TOXIC algae that can sicken a dog within minutes and kill within hours. If a pond fountain is running, then the toxins can be disbursed into the air and you breathe it in and it can make you very sick - severity of signs and symptoms depend on the type and amount of cyanobacteria present. You cannot tell 100% if it's toxic by look or smell, only by water testing. Keep pets and children away until you know if it's toxic. Ask the City of Tallahassee to perform cyanobacteria testing and be honest with you about any toxins present. See: https://www.epa.gov/nutrientpollution/protect-your-pooch Google: aerosolized algae toxins

Confusing trail with many overlapping paths but a good walk. Many people at the lake but nearly none on the trails.

Running

This is an awesome addition to a run. There are multiple ways onto the trail and options the cut back and forth between the loop. It is short, but it gives you some good elevation changes.

A hidden gem! There’s a dog park too, so bring your pets.

Short but nice little trail, I brought my puppy and she was able to hike it no problem. Also has a fenced in dog area where she was able to run around without the leash. I’d recommend going early before it gets busy, especially if you’re bringing a dog.
