Pumpkin Hill Creek Preserve Hike is a 2 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Jacksonville, Florida that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from October until April. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This newer Florida state park offers an evolving trail system through a variety of plant communities. This hike traces double-track paths through rare oak, scrub, pine flatwoods, maritime hammock, and along tidal Pumpkin Hill Creek with its extensive marshes.

January: the trail map is worthless. reportedly, there is a 3mi trail, a 6mi trail and several shorter ones. NONE are marked well. And at least today, every trail I tried was eventually under water. Would not do this hike in the heat of the summer as there is absolutely no shade. And definite gator prints seen in the sand- that was my highlight.

great trail and great scenery. we definitely saw cat prints - maybe bobcat - and wild hogs on our trek!
