Surprising elevation gain! Nice fields and a view of the river. Trail is kept up on, and gives you good immersion( except for a house or two on the river).

Half of this trail is a beautiful walk by the water and half is a grueling trudge through deep loose sand and mud. The land bridge is worth visiting and past that is a nice little loop around a separate lake. Make sure to check the website for trail closures, some parts are still blocked off after Irma.
