This trail was 100% worth it! Drove from Miami to walk it and it was an amazing experience! Mostly shaded, the paths are shared with MTBs and are relatively easy to navigate as there are signs all throughout. Saw some birds and lizards along the path. Great trail to walk during weekdays when most people are busy at work...will return again!

Great trail to stay out of sun. In the trees and it is great and curvy where you won’t see the same place twice. Again, great one to keep you in the shade. Bikers are cool with you getting out of there way. Stay alert!

I ride this trail regurlarly and I just have to say something. First of all if you litter here, you are as worthless as the trash you leave behind. Secondly, if you walk past a piece of trash please turn around and pick it up. It seems like I am the only one picking up trash and it needs to be done by everyone if you care about preserving the nature on these trails. If we all pick up one small morsel of trash when we go hiking then it would be pristine.

First time back in 4 years. Nice challenging roots and beautiful views. Signs have improved a lot, but there are still parts that can get you confused. I’m coming back more often It’s not crowed like the other trails in the area.

My 1st visit last week. Parked along road next to sidewalk where entrance is. Several other vehicles doing the same thing, no signs along road saying no parking. Sheriff drove by, did not stop or say anything. So the ride was interesting, tight, rooty, a few areas allow more speed. Some signs to steer you to green easy, blue intermediate, or black difficult sections. All choices appear to bring you back to the main track which is mostly blue level. Sandy sections really make the legs work harder. Had to portage some roots, otherwise could pedal more than 95% of all sections. Some narrow, low hanging sections kept the ride challenging. Ran into trees a few times but never fell off. Lot of fun, did 2 circuits in about 100 minutes, including water breaks. No facilities, so bring what you need.

Have run it hundreds of time and still get lost :) If you want to feel in the jungle, go there. Absolutely precious to have such a place to run in. Kudos to the group who maintains it!

This is primarily a mountain bike trail but also fun for a good hike in dense forest. Very interesting terrain. Flat mostly but the hike through the forest keeps things surprising. The trail winds back and forth since it is a bike trail. Still worth the hike. Bikers were friendly and not bothered. Lots of trail options throughout.

My home trail only 1 mile away. I try to do 2-3 laps a few times a week. I love this place riding my fatboy and hitting blue and black trails. Plently of variation in tge trails to have fun.

This is basically a mountain bike trail, I see the appeal because the trail twists and turns with ruts and little hills to scramble over. Went on a Monday so we only had to watch out for a few bikers. I did like the fauna as being from the west coast of Florida I'm used to cypress and pine forest. Still managed to see a little life, a lizard that might have been a young iguana, birds and butterflies. You do have to park at the County park but you can walk around the soccer field to get to the trail.

My go-to trail living less than 10 miles from it. There is a lot packed into a small geographic area maintained by volunteers from FORCE. Trail is well maintained and labeled for difficulty levels, though I do know there are some areas I have missed due to them not being fully labeled. Has some really good flowy sections, but is mostly a technical trail with a good amount of roots and logs (well, depending on what color trail you take). Some narrow and low sections. A great workout for a somewhat shorter trail system.

Use the Okeeheelee Park entrance off of Forest Hill BLVD. The app’s map leads you to nowhere. There’s paved trail, packed trail, and sand. A little bit for everyone. Avoid Pinehurst Dr during morning school drop off times, traffic is insane.

My only experience with “ mountain biking “ has been in the Smokey mountains ... so , I was a bit skeptical about any mountain bike / off road trails in florida . This trail was a surprise to me ...Contrary to other reviews , I found it easy to follow ... you can’t get “lost” like larger parks in the the smoky mountain - totally enjoyable ride.

This is a bike trail but it was still fun. We kept switching between the green, blue, and black trails until the end where we were getting a bit tired and stuck to the green the last .5 or so. We did a total of 3.5 miles in 2hrs but forgot to turn off the tracker until we hit the highway.

Great trail, lots of directional changes, lots of shade. Cons I had to leave my AllTrails map app open the entire time. Still manage to get all turned around. Would only come back with someone I felt was directionally confident

Very nice hiking trail. The signs could be better though. I think I now understand that the blue markers are the "main trail", and black markers are the inner loops (maybe the green ones too?). I got off track by accident at some point and had some trouble figuring out which path to get back to the starting point. With that said I have no sense of direction and am new to hiking so your results may vary :) There was some noise from the nearby water plant that can be annoying sometimes. But I'd come back here, most if the trail is in wooded/cover areas so you aren't getting direct sun which is great.

It’s located close by to Greenacres Freedom Park, and you can park here to walk to the trail. There’s two ways of getting to the trail, which entrance is located on Pinehurst Drive. If you go the intended route, you’ll have to park and walk to the trail entrance located on the street via the sidewalk. The second way has you cutting Southwest through the soccer field of Freedom Park, and into a side entrance that’s located close to the street. The actual trail itself is a mountain bike trail that also allows walking, but you’ll need to be aware of your surroundings because bikers here are frequent. Very pretty trail for both biking and walking. There are a good variety of roadblocks to overcome for bikers, like stumps, branches, rocks, & roots. Walkers can experience the same things, but there’s usually a more “mild” trail option to get over any obstacles. The trail is pretty tight, two people can just about walk abreast but a lot of places will have you dropping down to single file. Didn’t experience much wildlife on this trail other than a few birds, but there were no bugs so that was nice. It was also nice that even though there were plenty of areas with thick cover, the wind flow was pretty consistent so it wasn’t hot.

Hiking

I was looking for a forested dirt trail to hike this afternoon, and found this. It was a good choice, the trail is easy to hike. Some roots to look out for, but the trail is nearly all flat. In the background, I heard squealing earthmoving machines across the canal, and the highway is on the other side, so you don’t quite get away from the city, but that is hard to do in South Florida. It is a multipurpose path, so mountain bikers use it too. I had a few of them passed by me, very pleasant people. Don’t use headsets, otherwise you will not be able to hear them coming up behind you. I hiked on a weekday after Christmas, in the mid afternoon, and I only saw a few other hikers. The trail is somewhat marked, not all clearly, but good enough. I show that the trail is more than 3 miles though, longer than what I expected.

Running

Closest I've seen to the trails I used to run up north. Very serene with little traffic. The only issue I had was the signage (or lack of) on the trail. Very easy to get confused with where you are and how to find the way out. Even with gps help, I was still making wrong turns.

Nice trail, well maintained, couple mountain bikers out today. Took about an hour to hike. The reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because it was quite loud with the road next to most of the trail, car noice, construction from a water treatment center. Overall a nice little hike.
