The trails were challenging and fun! Even the green novice ones had some obstacles, like tree roots, bridges, rocks and twists and turns that I made it an adventure. I don’t think most of the are easy enough for young kids. Too bad the water is contaminated because the water looks inviting.. so my review is based on the trails (well marked and kept$ and facilities (bathrooms)

We really enjoyed the experience. Parking/entrance fee is fair enough. There is a pretty beach all the way down the parking lot, but bring mosquito spray If you are going into the forest!!

I love Oleta! My husband and I have rented cabins there a few times and took the weekend to enjoy the beach, kayaking, and trails. The only downside is that the parking lot is MASSIVE and directly in the center of the park. The trail loop goes around the perimeter close to the water, so it’s hard to really feel totally immersed most of the time. Overall, nice park and trails!

great park. It has a variety of biking and hiking trails, not just this one. Also canoeing and kayaking. excellent spot to stop before a flight out.

this is a bit mis-advertised, as there are a series of trails that wind throughout the park. i advise getting a map, and familiarizing yourself with the various trails and off-shoots before heading out. The area is a great place to pretend you aren't in the city for a bit. be prepared to get your feet muddy, as it is lowland marsh as well as some pine scrub. fun for trail running and there are lots of mountain bike trails, so stay alert and be courteous. The mountain bikers maintain the trails, so try to stay out of their way.

first time riding this course. techincal. There are a lot of roots that make the course challenging. roots on steep climbs require you to pick a good line, come in hot, and pedal through. overall, trail is in great condition.

The trail takes you through some stretches of populated roads but once you get into a pine forest it is incredibly beautiful. The shadows are wonderful, you almost feel as if you are in an imagined land. For such a bucolic landscape there was a surprisingly low amount of nature. A lot of interesting crabs and a pufferfish. Some birds such as ibis and a lone brown pelican flying overhead. The real treat was a Yellow Crowned Night Heron that I followed for a while. For over 6 hours at the park and two spent at the trail this is a surprisingly low amount of nature for such a beautiful setting.

This trail isn’t even a trail. I took my dogs there to see some sort of beach, wildlife, or anything interesting. It was completely boring in my opinion. The beaches don’t allow the dogs to even walk on the sand, there was some lady who kept telling me and the dogs to get out of the wooded area because they were planting trees there, yet there was no sign saying so. It was pretty bad. If you have dogs, DON’T GO HERE!

I have a 3 month old and am trying to take him hiking once a week. I grew up visiting Oleta Park but mostly for the kayaking, this my first time hiking the trails! We really enjoyed waking in the park. There are a few trails that are possible to do with stroller near the beach. The mountain biking/hiking trails cannot be done with a stroller. These hikes were fun but we did get lost a few times so just stay aware :) There is no water on the trail so make sure to bring your own!

There are actually a whole lot of trails here that aren't listed in this app. The trail I was able to walk was very unique and fun. It was also a mountain biking trail so it had drops, steep-ish climbs (occasionally) and mini boardwalks. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Beautiful scenery!! But has a dirty/ polluted water smell all over the trails...If you can stomach the stench then you'll have tons of fun!!

Great trails, some difficult and some easy. The down side are the runners who share the bike trails, but other than that....it is very of fun.
