Ocala 28th Trail is a 4.8 mile out and back trail located near Ocala, Florida that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and birding and is best used from October until May. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

no parking what so ever. no trail head. parking along side of hwy. 40 will get you very stuck or your vehicle broken into. on the plus side FL trails are beautiful with abundant wildlife. bring water, bug spray and have fun.

No parking. It was flooded after a thunderstorm the previous day. Nice trees.

Silver River excellent River to kayak. Beautiful scenery and best of all the sight of many wild monkeys. Also the river goes along the old Fort King village awesome to see.

Silver River (not listed)? One of our top 3 rivers to kayak in Florida. The only place to see wild monkeys! We put in at the State Park, Half mile portage to a nice ramp, and the only porta-potty on the river. 2 mile trip up river and 2 mile back down. You can now put in at the old Silver Spring Park and there are some areas now open to kayaking at the springs. There is also a put in at Ray's Wayside Park, 5 mile round trip from here, fee to park/put in.
