Newnans Lake Loop is a 8.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Gainesville, Florida that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips.
April 10, 2021Very well maintained and not many biting bugs (April). Two, 9-mile loops make a good hike with plenty to see, but no particular destination such as prairie view or lake. Light traffic even on the weekend and the trails are partly shaded. Keep and eye out for bald eagles!
