Newnans Lake Loop is a 8.6 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Gainesville, Florida that features a lake. The trail is good for all skill levels and is primarily used for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips.
Very well maintained and not many biting bugs (April). Two, 9-mile loops make a good hike with plenty to see, but no particular destination such as prairie view or lake. Light traffic even on the weekend and the trails are partly shaded. Keep and eye out for bald eagles!
Not a bad hike. Flooded areas and some areas that were mowed. Four miles down in the Florida heat. Tired fur babies.
Nice day but very over grown and mosquitoes like crazy. Still a good day.
Great day. Cool breeze and sunny. Fur babies loved getting out and running.
Good walk considering it was 95 today. Like this trail for the seclusion.
Great peaceful hike. A wee bit sloggy at times but well worth it. Great for fur babies too!
