Great trails if you could focus on nature and the hike itself, but instead you have to stare at the ground and pick every step around dog shit.

Really enjoyed this hike. Nice scenery, easy walk, and mostly shaded during the afternoons. All together I was able to get 3.5 miles. I plan on doing the loop soon, crossing over Hwy 98 and looping back. This trail beats the treadmill for sure

Nice little trail through the woods down to the beach. My 1 year old son was able to look at trees, squirrels and lots of lizards and then play in the water.

We came here on a whim today and had a blast! The hiking trail was easy enough for our 8yo daughter and dog to manage. We found a secluded little beach area to let our daughter play in the sand. All in all, this was a great use of an hour drive and a few hours of time there. We’ll be back to hike some more!

Trail is boardwalk style in the beginning and then you can take a couple different trails that can go in a loop or down to the beach side. In addition, the "fish trail" is also an option. Trail is a nice short walk that is shaded in most places. Trail is easy and I did not see any other walkers. Dog friendly on leash.

This was a nice shady trail. The trees and views of the water were great. Watch out for ticks though. We stayed on the trail and our dog still had to have several picked off of him.

Nice easy trail that follows the beach in the Naval Live Oaks Nature Preserve. A good idea is to start at the Gulf Islands National Seashore visitor's center and follow the boardwalk along the beach and back thru the woods. The trail can be an in and out or 8 mile loop by crossing the highway. The trail features some impressive Live Oaks and lots of hanging moss. The only distraction is the loud traffic with its proximity to US Highway 98 otherwise this is a real nice day hike with lots of great views and photo opportunities.
