Myaaka is a nice park. Rt 72 divides it. Nice hiking. Two very nice lakes with alligator tours at the main park entrance. Lot of natural beauty.. if you wish to see Gators and all sorts of wildlife this is where I often go. It won't disappoint. The canopy walk is really cool! Nice little snack bar if you are hungry or thirsty. Great Park service Representatives. My wife and I really enjoy our time here. It is on rt 72 Sarasota Florida. between Arcadia and Sarasota.

Pretty terrible. Just a fire road. Boring. Really rough terrain. It's like riding in a rock garden. Just say no to this on a MTB

Hot 89 and humid. 10:48 am to 1:48 pm. Sunny and very little. Shade. Kiosks with benches at trail intersections provided shaded resting spots. No wildlife out in this heat at this time of day. Trail is a grassy, sandy, sometimes muddy road. One marshy area we used a small log and long leaps to get across with out wading. Phone died so did not record last part of trail.

Not really a trail. More like a 7.5 mile dirt road complete with tire tracks. If you want to hike alone and see what rural Florida looks like, this is the place to hike. I saw plenty of armadillos and native birds.

Much better then the North Loop at Myakka State Forest. Small areas had standing water on the trail. Saw my first Diamondback rattlesnake (baby), some wild hogs, and some other wildlife. Pretty much no shade throughout the trail so bring plenty of water and sunscreen during the hot season.
