Very neat trail that travels through some diverse parts of the Park. There is a long exposed section between Mossy Oak and Bee Island campground so make sure you bring extra water and sun protection.

Amazing trail with a lot of diverse scenery. I completed this in about 6 hours at a leisurely pace. I reccomend going on a cloudy day, as there isn't much cover. I didn't see one mosquito but I did encouter an area where I had to traverse ankle deep water for about 30 steps.

We enjoyed the path today. But if you are sensitive to time, be aware that the number of miles noted on the map are not accurate. The miles noted on the signs are correct. For example, we cut some off the trail and it still ended up taking us a mile longer than shown in the map.

When first entering to register the ranger was incredibly rude to us, did not answer our questions well and full of attitude, may of had a bad day perhaps. backpacked to honore primitive campsite, which is not marked well from the main trail we followed the blaze when there was a fork in the trail because we had no idea what the other way meant so we passed out campsite. The map provided does not explain what each colored blaze meant. we saw some random ones and did not know what they meant. backpacked to panther point the next day. the views are absolutely beautiful, and it was an amazing time. we of course had challenges as there is no water source, though there was a slow moving body of water you can treat and some flooding and some snakes, but that makes it an adventure!! Saw some gators and deer. becareful on the trail with the hog damage. It was a blast!

Great hike with interesting landscape and change of scenery from prairie to woods to swamps. We hiked this trail at the beginning of Dec 2017. Only encountered people at their campsites , not on the trail. So its very uncrowded. Ended up finding the way back to our campsite under a full moon, which was not that easy but quite adventurous. Plenty of wildlife: , deer, a hog, a rabbit and birds

The loop trail and connecting roads and spur trials are a great "real" Florida experience. I would list the entire park as easy except during rainy season when the trails are flooded and hard to navigate. Though the trail is fairly well blazed, with the many cross trails and roads more signage would make it easier to navigate. This is a beautiful park with over 40 miles of hiking and biking trails with tons of wildlife to see and beautiful scenery. The only reason I give it four stars is the extensive hog damage in the park which has torn up trails.

The Myakka Hiking Trail is actually a 40 mile loop, but there are other spur trails within so you can make your hike longer or shorter. I wish they'd show you the full loop and the spur trails on AllTrails. It's completely flat so not very challenging but it's still full of adventure. I hear it's completely swamped during the rainy season. But in the dry season it's beautiful!
