Micco Water Management Area Trail is a 3.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Sebastian, Florida that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching.
It feels like walking around on a farm. The shadeless trails are mostly dirt or gravel road with too few blazes to follow without a map. The botanic diversity is surprisingly large. As a birding trail, the variety of habitats allows for many types of birds.
Great spot, lots of wild life. You can cross over into the Sebastian River preserve state park. Thats what I did on this trip.
Nice trail. It’s not much of a hike, but a look at how water management works in the Sebastian Water Management Area. A good look at some small locks/dams. Best in the fall/winter timeframe as there is no shade.
