Mead Botanical Gardens Loop is a 1.1 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Winter Park, Florida that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
There is a section that does not allow dogs however majority of this trail is accessible to dogs. This is one of the best parks for birding in the area, especially during migration. The trails here highlight the places that are good to check while birding the area, including a short trip to a nearby lake.
First time here. I didn't walk far and was only here a short amount of time and almost stepped in dog poop 2x aside from the other piled I came across. Pick up after your dog people! Don't ruin such a great place by being an irresponsible dog owner. Thank you. Other than that, I really enjoyed even as short of time I was here. LOTS of cute squirrels.
Great, easy trail. Little muddy in a couple spots. Tons of squirrels and lizards out and about. Enjoyed it.
A gorgeous break from Orlando traffic and rush. A very simple and easy trail. Contains all the best parts of Florida
This trail is a nice short, shaded trail with nice views. There is a part of the trail that states “no dogs allowed”
I really enjoyed this park. Use your Google Maps or Apple Maps to get to the entrance. The one on the All Trails site will lead you to a residential area that does not provide access. Use the All Trails map for the actual trail, as the paths are not well marked. Walk towards the amphitheater, and then you will see the start of the trail to your left. There were lots of walkers, dogs, and some children on this well traveled trail. Part of it is for walking only, but there is a bike path for part of it....probably not worth bringing the bike if you have to haul it out there. Enjoy!
dog friendly. beautiful flowers trail is hard to follow at times. dog cant go on back boardwalk.
This is a large and lush park that doesn’t seem like a park. It’s beautiful. Well maintained. And there are many options to choose from. There are lakes, rivers, & bridges. Plenty of shade. & places to sit and take a in the views or to even bring a lunch. Dog friendly, as long as they are on leash.
