The Marsh Trail travels through the wetland environment of the Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge and as such the real highlight is the wildlife viewing opportunities. The first 200m of the trail from the car park is tarmac and the rest is crushed shell. There are a number of benches along the route at viewpoints. At 200m is an observation tower which makes for an excellent viewpoint of the surrounding scenery, particularly at dusk when countless birds return to roost in the trees nearby. Alligators are often seen in the water so take care on the trail and do not bring pets. A number of canoe routes also begin here.

Excellent trail - the observation tower makes journeying out here completely worthwhile. The bird watching is truly special, particularly at dusk. Often spot plenty of alligators too.
