This is a must do if you are in the area. The drive was gravel road and bumpy, got to use so driving features in my Jeep that never used before, lol, I live in Florida. There was a lot of alligators out today, and water level was low. Lots and lots of birds. I will certainly be back to start here to walk the Florida scenic trails.

A gravel road that was generally well graded with some potholes. Nice bird watching along the way with an occasional alligator, including one I swerved around that was sunning itself along the edge of the road. I rode down the middle after that. The road had only very light car traffic which was fortunate because they would kick up dust. Overall I highly recommend it.

Great drive! The dirt road is very well maintained and it’s safe to drive any kind of vehicle (no 4x4 needed). Many gators on the side of the road. Saw two water moccasins basking on the road as well as other snake species and turtles. Many, many birds.

I came down here a few years ago. Never saw the bobcats, but deer, alligators, birds and other animals were abundant.

gravel road that passes through beautiful water passes in the everglades where you can take pictures and see more of the beauty of the park with out getting dirty and from the security of your car. This road can be done also by bicycle if you are into the sport. I like very much this road and i have seen deers, bobcats, alligators and many other species of the everglades.
