Lake Manatee East Loop is a 4.6 mile loop trail located near Parrish, Florida that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and horses. Horses are also able to use this trail.
January 29, 2021At the trailhead it’s called Gopher Trail. Take a snap of the trail system map if you didn’t download it so you don’t get confused. The trail was just ok - 3/4 is sand so some tough going, views don’t vary much except a side trail down to the lake. Biggest issue was that there is a racetrack across the road with practice going on so there is a lot of noise from the race cars and the PA system giving instructions to those on the track.
December 29, 2020Nice wide, level and sandy path. Less than half the way is shaded so we should have started earlier. We only encountered two folks on horseback.

November 29, 2020August 4, 2020Great trail! Lots of sand paths so be ready for that. There is shade some of the time, and there’s access to the lake at one point! Check thoroughly for ticks!!
