14 Miles of natural trails, only 6 miles are marked. Trails pass by Lake Lizzie and Trout Lake. Trail heads are located off of Bass Road for the North Loop and off of Old Melbourne Highway for the WP Tyson Trail Head that leads to the Marsh Loop and the Lake Lizzie Loop. Equestrian users must use the Old Melbourne Highway entrance and have proof of Negative Coggins with them at all times.

The trail is pretty easy to get to, the only thing is it goes by houses and residential area. be prepared for lots of sugar sand, there is plenty shade and benches along the way, at the end of the trail, there is a lake, 2 restrooms, a whole covered picnic area with bbq grill.

Lovely trail; quite long and nicely shaded in most areas. Only possible complaint I could have is that it strays close to some residential areas at a few points and disrupts the scenery with unsightly suburbia.

I live pretty close to this trail and hike it a few times a month. It’s a point A- point B hike and takes me about 2 hours. Gorgeous area, lots of wildlife early in the morning

We "bikehiked" this - we had our hybrid bikes and started from the Bass road trail head. Some sections are easy hard packed roads and other sections are deep sugar sand for about 50 yards so we would have to get off of our bikes and hike. The marsh loop trail is doable on a hybrid bike, some sections of board walk and some sections hard packed trail. Mostly in the shade with good signs. We did not go to the trail head but came from the Lake lizzie trail and went back via the powerlines - which was a much easier shortcut on the way back to the north entrance. Sections of the lake lizzy trail have the deep sugar sand. some sections are shady and some hot and open. If you do the North trail loop make sure you have good maps as that section has many extra spur trails and poor signage. Gaia gps has some good routes.
