Lake Griffith Red Trail is a 1.7 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Fruitland Park, Florida that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking and nature trips.
This is a great trail, wet in spots, but they have built Board trails over the water, a couple of spots were a little muddy, but it rained the day before, those spots would probably be dry most of the time. This trail is well maintained and well marked. It would be a great trail to walk when it is hot, shade all the way.
This is a beautiful park that harks back to old Florida. The trail itself is short but well marked and scenic. Information markers are scattered throughout. That said, know what you’re getting into if you go into the seasonal wet part of the trail. You will get wet and likely muddy. There are side by side two by four planks over water and mud. Some are barely above water and the planks are not wide enough. They’re also slippery. I would not go back to the trail unless it was dry. Which likely won’t be before February.
good trail easy and flat trail, beautiful trees, weather was nice, didn't see any wildlife, a little muddy
Walk and talk with Mom. She is really getting weak . Hard for Rita to talk and really form thoughts
Great trail but very muddy. Take bug spray for mosquitos. There are a lot!
