When I finished the loop with my two dogs and mother, we checked the mileage and it said we had walked 5.6 miles....confused?

This is one of the prettiest city parks I have ever walked. It is well maintained, with many walkers, runners, bikers, skaters, and even longboarders. There are bathrooms at the city park entrance, ample parking, a large and beautiful dog park, and the opportunity to rent bikes and scooters. Have fun...I did!

I am a Baldwin Park local, so I do this 2.5-mi loop around the lake several times a week; I usually go twice around. It is a very nice area with a beautiful lake. You'll be able to spot lots of birds (cranes, ibises, storks, white and blue herons, coots, mallards, etc.,) including bald eagles in the morning and fishing/diving ospreys in the afternoon, in addition to turtles and, if you're lucky, a couple of regular otters swimming. The drawback is that it is a heavily trafficked area with many cyclists, some of whom apparently think the loop is a racetrack... so keep that in mind.

If you like paved, suburban trails with families, you will love this trail. The lake is beautiful. People use the ramp to launch their fishing boats.

This is more like a jogging rout. Usually pretty busy with other people out jogging, biking or walking.

Great dog park, not the biggest fan of the loop though as its basically Eola with a dog park.

Only 1 water fountain, bathroom site along the whole loop. Very harsh on small dogs if unprepared. Bring a lot of water for the journey.

This has become a favorite for me. My daughter & I walk this trail sometimes after I pick her up from school. We've seen rabbits (very surprised since it has heavy traffic and not very remote), turtles, and plenty or birds. The lake is a nice site too. There are to nice piers and a nice tiered outdoor seating area. Its busy in afternoons but very friendly

Love this area! Especially if you have a dog. The best dog park in Central Florida is Lake Baldwin's. This trail goes right by it.

This is a great “urban” trail. Very dog friendly, especially since there is an amazing off leash park on the loop. Amazing dining choices off of the loop.

Love this trail super nice love the lake, I bike there all the time only thing is there is little to no lightning at night/dusk. I went at dusk the other day (to avoid the heat) and the Trail was pitch black is some places

I've been several times at night. Very peaceful and do 2-3 loops. Plenty of parking around and clean. Goes into some wooded areas and behind some nice apartment buildings. Has 2 lake docks connected to the trail also

I completed a half marathon in 2015, which included multiple laps around the lake. This is an outstanding paved trail located in densely populated, semi-urban, affluent area. It has similarities to Cranes Roost & Lake Eola Parks, orbiting circular lakes, but twice the circumference as the aforementioned parks. Be prepared to dodge strollers, dog walkers, groups & other foot traffic. Another bonus, you can connect to the nearby Cady Way Trail to extend your day.
