Kewanee Trail is a 3.3 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Maitland, Florida that features a river and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Wide flat paved trail. Kinda feels like you’re walking along an alley for majority of trail, but lots of waterfowl.
Beautiful weather 2day 4 a hike. Saw a baby gator in the lake kids at the playground and the basketball court. Beautiful crisp day
Some shade and lots of different types of nature. Make sure you take the wooden boardwalk it leads to a beautiful lake and has some amazing wetlands views
Nice walk through neighborhoods. Get out early! The sun can be brutal!!
Pleasant paved trail. Mix of shady scenery and sunny backs of neighborhoods.
Another great Seminole County walk. Fully paved and not crowded. There is a nice little boardwalk through Kewanee Park that ends with a lake view. Taking the boardwalk (as shown in my recording) adds about .5 miles to the walk. Also, there is a spot to connect to the Wirz trail which would double the distance on this trail.
Nice trail. Better in the morning as there is more shade. I walked to the end and a few little side areas and walked 3.2 miles.
Nice trail through neighborhoods, very little shade on a hot day.
Great place for a quick walk before or after work. Good for a 3 mile walk if desired.
This is a very pretty community trail ideally situated for biking, dog walking, and exercising. The best parking to access the trail is at Kewannee Park, which has a half-mile nature loop with boardwalk. The park looks promising for birding and viewing wildlife as well.
