Hurricane Damage Assessment is a 4.2 mile out and back trail located near Oviedo, Florida and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, horses, and mountain biking and is best used from December until February. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
A lot of damage nearby but the trail is clear. I went out to check out the hurricane damage on my favorite trail. This is the first time I had been out here since August (before Charley). There is a lot of tree damage and the water is high, but the trail is passable. It is narrower due to disuse, but still a great hike or bike. But here's the good news: they're building a boardwalk and bridge over the Little Econ! Now this trail will connect to the Barr Street Trailhead and the Geneva Wilderness Area. Wahoo!
