As of 28-Nov-2019 this trail is open. It is flat and used by lots of people to connect between the campground and visitor center store/marina area. It's a nice flat walk right along the bay with breaks in the mangroves where you can see the bay beyond. Note on this day, the amphitheater is closed (not mowed) and the bathroom next to it is closed. Trailed is paved. Expect biting insects - bring repellent.

Enjoyed the easy flat paved trail along the water’s edge. Saw lots of lizards and hermit crabs. We walked this in late Feb.

Nice trail at the southern end of the Everglades with beautiful views of Florida Bay and the beginning of the Keys. Just be prepared for the mosquitoes for most months out of the year.
