let me start with the area was beautiful and we will return to try again when we are better prepared for getting wet. being a native Floridian and just being hit by some heavy tropical rains, I should have expected the trail to be flooded out. The school has a food garden near the trail head that was amazing. We checked that before starting the trail. only a few feet into the trail, we go to ankle deep water. The kids got a kick out of this so we kept going. it got to about calf deep before we realized we were going to need to be better dressed and prepared to make it 3+ miles in and out of swamp. I've done slew hikes before growing up so I'll totally be going back to take the kids because it's a great educational experience but today we would have been gator bait lol

the hike is amazing during the dry season and I saw a lot of Black racers and a wonderful amount of different native plants! during the wet season, the cypress domes are amazing to swim in

Went here with friends very fun if you want to go bird watching. Lots of fallen down trees. But there are many types of animal prints in the mud.

Difficult to follow as it is poorly marked and lots of university noise.
