Flagler Trail is a 2.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Geneva, Florida that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and running.
Did this coming in from the Geneva Wilderness section since the parking area at Kolokee on 426 is closed as of 8/15/20 and has been closed for quite a while. So to hike this section of the Flagler Trail you'd have to do what I did and enter from elsewhere. Fortunately there are three other options. This section though is mostly open so it's extremely hot in the summer. Part of it is wide and grassy (the part that runs from northwest to southeast), part runs between two sections of marsh (the straight-away running south to north in the middle), and part is very sandy (the west-east portion leading into the Geneva Wilderness Area).
