Definitely worth the drive for a nice weekend of kayaking. But call ahead to make sure water levels are high. When low, the scenic loop is inaccessible leaving only the larger parts of the creek full of alligators. Still fun if you aren't scared of a few bull gators

When the water is high this is a fun paddle, but as it is often low, it's wise to call ahead. Today there was water for about an hour of paddling to and from...

This is a state park with camping, etc. You have to register at the office and pay $2 per person plus $2 per dog. I left.

Ingram's Crossing Trail is a shuttle where the Outpost drops you off about 16 miles upstream. This usually involves camping over night on the creek. Its a great trip for those who love camping and long distance canoeing/kayaking. There is so much wildlife to see if you are patience and know where to look. They offer other trips that are shorter.
