Fire and Water Nature Trail Loop is a 1.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Middleburg, Florida that offers the chance to see wildlife and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from October until April. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This hilly interpretive trail in the Jennings State Forest takes you through numerous plant communities and to informative stops that explain the importance of fire and water for Florida's forests. The forest is an important natural oasis in greater Jacksonville. NOTE: be aware that hunting is allowed in the forest, so please check ahead of time for hunt dates.
