This trail is a great little out & back hike. It gives a wonderful wooded feel right in the middle of Tallahassee. It’s a great hike for those who need some nature but don’t have the time or travel ability for a further away and/or longer trail.

We have the App All Trails and we are confused too with the private property. Railroad isn’t just anymore, don’t worry go ahead!

trail head is across the railroad tracks from the parking area. just walk past the "private property" sign. broke right on the trail when we came across a footbridge just past a large apartment complex (near the end) the trail gets more narrow and overgrown as it goes along the creek and back into the woods but it's worth it! we had our lab mix with us and there were no issues there. saw a pine snake walking the more overgrown section and tons of game trails. overall, great trail!

Could not find the trail and did not want to cross any rail lines. But the field is pretty and it was a nice day for a walk

Great trail with lots of shade! If you park under the highway you have to cross the train tracks and find the trail marker under the highway which took me a sec to figure out

It was an enjoyable trail. You do hear traffic for awhile until you get some distance between you and the parking lot. You cross two roads that are in neighborhoods/apartment complexes. Be careful when crossing because there is no pedestrian crossing lines. The trail was hard to figure out when you reached the end. I came across a trail sign that had a “stop” sticker and an “illegal trail” sticker on it. So that’s when I decided to turn around. I don’t know if I ever hit the actual end. Also don’t get off the trail because you’ll be on private property if you do.

Trail was a so nice, weather was great and I went with my girlfriend and her pup. Overall a great time and there’s a huge open field for all kinds of activities. Just wished the trail was a longer loop. All in all it was a fun and very easy trail that could be great for beginners who like running and biking.

Such a pleasant surprise! Near the park ave area, there is another little set of trail systems accessible via fern trail. Fun adventure.

Nice little trail to spend some of the day. My husband and I took our dog with us and it was a nice quiet walk with very few bikes and people on a Sunday afternoon.

A great trail but do watch out for tree roots and uneven paths. Bikes share the trail also. It is lovely to feel like you have escaped the city in the middle of town!

This is a great little trail in the middle of Tallahassee. It connects easily into Tom Brown Park and the Goose Pond, Magnolia and Cadillac trails. It's a good trail to learn on and it's very pretty. At the same time, unlike some other trails, it's very easy to bail out and get on the paved road or to a sidewalk to flag down help if it should be needed.
