Short day hike with a lake. We visited in January. I don't like that you can't touch the waterfall as it's reputation for Florida's largest waterfall is because it is a sink hole. But, still a beautiful trail to hike and super easy for my less-than-active son. I took the baby in a carrier and did not get winded. Lots of lizards and informational plagues along the trail.

This is a short trail good for families or someone who wants a nice hike. It is a little hilly though. There is a water fall, but not a big one. I'm a local and the best time to go is about a day after a heavy rain to see the water fall really flowing. It's usually a stead trickle, but it's a deep fall. There's a swimming area at the pond and there is signs warning about alligators, but I've never heard of there being one there. Just be smart and aware of your surroundings just in case. There are also sink holes to check out, but they have been doing construction since Hurricane Michael damaged alot of the board walks so you may not be able to get to that area. There is a play area for kids and a covered picnic area with restrooms and a water fountain.

Clean Easy hike. Nearly all Boardwalk to the lake. Waterfall is pretty cool.

The tallest waterfall in Florida, falling into a sinkhole! However there hasn't been much rain so the falls were just trickling. Still very cool tho! It looks like they were making some pathway upgrades. No problem at all for my 8 year old or 11 year old.

Excellent to do with family. Nice swimming area on the beach at the end of the trail. Easy hike/walk. Most of it is a boardwalk. Dog friendly except the beach. So we took our dog to the campground across the lake to cool off. Lots of picnic areas and a kids playground. Cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a park.

If you're looking for a long hike this is not for you, as far as the moderate rating i would say only because the boardwalk can get slippery other than that it's an easy trail. I would recommend coming here after a good rain to ensure a good flow of water. Hurricane Michael caused some damage and the lower observation deck was closed so getting a good look down the sink was out of the question. There are several sinkholes that look very interesting but getting close to them is extremely dangerous and they've restricted that area.

Trail is small and can be completed in about an hour. However if you go to the falls after a rainy day it is really cool! Camping is also great here very relaxing

Boardwalk path with inclines and lots of steps weaved in... worth the hike, for a sit by the waterfall on a sunny day... (not wheelchair accessible due to the steps in multiple areas, but there is a nice campground and other areas to enjoy... also a lake, swimming area, playground, and picnic area... nice stop if you are traveling I10 for you to stretch your legs

Was a very small park, we hiked and explored the entire park in under 2 hours, but was very beautiful. Helpful hint, in order to see the falls you must go on a day after a rain.

Florida's only water fall and though not full, still a sight to see. Very easy trail, slightly slippery after a rain though.

The waterfall is nice for Florida, but kind of underwhelming. Very small beach area for swimming for the kids. Many many people out and walking this trail on a Saturday in February, so I can only imagine what it is like during summer.
