Nice trail for hiking or mountain biking. Two trailheads. One off Walter Boardman Ln which connects to the Bulow Trail, and one in Fairchild Oak Park. All three can be done as one continuous trail as well. The 1.8 miles was only one way, so there and back would be 3.6 miles, for this section.

Did this trail a week before Christmas and took this from Fairchild Oak across Walter Boardman Lane to the Boardman Pond observation point. That made a round trip of 4.6 miles. There are a few low-lying areas that had some mud and a little bit of water, but nothing terrible. Passing through the swamp you will notice a slight sulfur smell.

Great hike. The area is unspoiled and at times breathtaking . A few muddy areas but very doable. crossed the road and started Bulow Plantation trail to observation point. Great views of the marsh. Overall a great hike.

well marked trail, some areas are very overgrown. Heavy rain yesterday made the trail very difficult to pass in certain areas.

We ended up walking the trail all the way to Fairchild Oak at Bulow Creek State Park. The conditions on the trail were marshy with several locations that were covered with water. The later half of the trip down to the park was a much nicer cleaner path. overall still a fun hike for Florida.

Nice trail. We saw deer, birds, and beautiful oak trees. The path was clearly marked. We did have a couple of ticks on us when we got done, but no problem with mosquitoes.

This is one of my favorite places to hike. There are so many butterflies and other wildlife around. Plus the foliage is beautifully mixed with palms, pines, and oaks that provide the perfect amount of shading and density that it feels like you're in a jungle. Note with all the water that there are spots that get muddy but manageable. I always use bug spray but did not notice an issue with mosquitoes.

Fun trail with a ton of flora and fauna. terrain varies: sugar sand, hard pack, and can get a bit muddy in spots.

The track shown in the present Track is not Fairchild Oak Trail it is the Bulow Trail. The Fairchild Oak Trail isn a loop that has has a red blaze. It is a loop of about one mile with two trailheads at the 90 degree turn in the Bulow Trail one headed East and the other South. It is an easy trail well kept up and can be reached from Bulow Trail at Board-man Ln. or at Fairchild Oak Park.

Nice trail for a quick ride, or hike. Part of the birding trail. Nice wooden bridge in the middle that opens up on either side to a nice marsh view.
