i enjoyed it but my little dogs didn't. way to hot for them. we cut on walk short because no shade to take a break from the hot beaming Florida sun.
leave dogs home unless it's during cooler weather. i am going to return with out the dogs for sure.
i want to do entire trail. you have to pack a lot! of water. hydrate hydrate hydrate hydrate...wear a hat...n sunblock. also bring a fully charged cell phone just in case of emergency.
you never know...
other enjoy. it's quiet... peaceful n if you're in birds.... flowers...mud...sand... your going to enjoy your hike.

The hike is ok. Not too much to see. The scenery is a little redundant. This trail is not our favorite because of the amount of horse flies! Yikes!

My family had a great time. There was a lot of water but all is fine and it was a beautiful day.we didn't see any birds. We hiked during the middle of the day.

A great change from the beach and has an amazing historical site. The run/hiking area is a little over 2 miles but from what I could find used map my run app to track it. I would recommend this site for family or just a good little trail run. Great access to the Estero River, camping and kayaking or canoeing. $4 daily access to the park. Check the web for activities farmers markets, art shows etc.

This trail has 3 different length loops and one out-and-back trail to the Estero River. It was a great flat hike with salt flats, mud, and grassy sand trails. Will be very muddy after a rain shower. Take binoculars if you want to see some Bald Eagles located on the Blue Trail to the river. Trail head is located almost at the end of Broadway street next to the power line junction off of Rt. 41. The trails are on Google maps. We took our two German Short Haired Pointers along and they had a great time when it was time to jump in the river.

This is an interesting canoe trip. You may see aligators, dolphins and manatees as well as numerous birds.
