2nd time on this trail. The new burn areas are unfortunate as they cleared some of the green tunnel effect in places. The mud north of the access road was a little intense, and there were standing puddles in the path almost a foot deep in places. But I got to test the waterproofing on my trail runners so thst was cool. Great time overall. I love the bench overlooking the highway.

trail is well marked, but there isn't much to see. parts of the trail were a muddy need, but nothing to stop you from continuing on. overall it was good exercise, but not a site seeing experience.

This trail circumnavigates the entire perimeter of the Pine Log State Forest Sand Pond Recreation Area. The route begins at the sign at the beginning of Environmental Road; however, you can also begin at the official parking area near the lakes. I took the loop in a counterclockwise direction from the recorded trailhead, following the blue blazes when they were posted. There is a long detour from mile 0.1 to mile 0.6. At 2.0 miles, take the right fork immediately after joining the Campground Trail. Then, at mile 2.1, take the right fork to avoid Cypress Swamp. At mile 4.2, turn right onto the access road. At mile 4.3, turn right off of the access road; look for a blue blaze pointing to the right. At mile 4.7, there is a long bridge crossing a wet-weather creek. Other than the detour and a couple of short sections, the trail mostly follows the recorded route. There route is, for the most part, clear and easy to follow; however, due to the quantity off intersections, you will need to consult the AllTrails route along the way. Although the forest wasn’t the prettiest in the area, I appreciated the fact that there was no one else on the trail the entire route.

Good trail. Lots of roots. The trail reroute adds some distance and is pretty rough right now. Very pretty though and completely isolated so it's nice and quiet.

The hike is a nice walk in nature until I was right next to highway; that was unpleasant. Great hike if you want to be alone. I encountered one person the entire hike. Overall it was scenic and a descent escape from the hustle and bustle.

Pretty nice trail. They seem to be doing a some work in the forest. The trail during the first mile and last 1/2 mile were very messy and needs to be cleaned up. You get close to the road around 1.5miles. After that, the trail is very beautiful! Mostly flat path, mix of dirt and sand. Some benches on the trail (mile 1, mile 2 and around mile 4). There were people at the recreation area, but I think I was the only one on the trail today!

This was a very well marked trail. My hiking buddy and I hiked it today as a pre hike to a over night backpacking trip because there are a few primitive camp sites located just off the trail. I wished I had brought my dog because she would have had a blast. Towards the end of our hike there was a small 50 foot section that was really muddy and flooded in parts where we had to walk along the very edge of the trail.

January hike (44-46°)the day after a rainy day. First time on this (blue) trail . Expected more puddles and only two were impassable without getting our feet wet. The trail on the east side of the recreation area is either in full view of the highway or close enough to hear the traffic. We enjoyed the hike and would recommend it to others.

It was over all a good hike some parts of the trail were very wet and muddy almost halfway up to my knees, but probably varies depending on the time of year

It was alright! Definitely a tough run but doable, a lot of it was very muddy or completely underwater, my favorite part was the small camp site at the south western tip of the trail, I'd go back!

This was a great trail very well maintained. A portion of it is also on the Florida Trail segment the signage is great. There is also a excellent campground there with restrooms equipped with showers.

This trail is located near Ebro, not Navarre. It was a nice trail, but not well maintained. Its been rainy, so was muddy in some parts. We did the 10 mile loop
