Beautiful shape. Man at the gate to the beginning of the trail is a little grumpy with kids...But otherwise it was a fabulous time.

Saw some iguanas, egrets, and raccoons. Barely any shade but a few stops along the way. Overall it was enjoyable

Easy ride. Low water levels, so a bit smelly from rotting vegetation. Saw some birds. Not much to see today, but a nice ride all the same.

Starts off as a boardwalk then becomes a dirt path. Interesting look into mangrove estuaries.

It's $1 per adult to walk this trail. It's 4 miles round trip. Half of it is in a service road and the other half is on the main paved road through the refuge (where the cars are). It's a bit of a boring hike (and we are avid hikers). We did see some wading birds, but that's it. Not a great hiking trail. We biked it the first day, hiked it the second. Biking it is much more pleasant than hiking it.

Une belle randonnée que nous avons effectué en vélo à la tombée du jour. Nous avons vu des oiseaux un crocodile un crabe et un raton. Il faut penser au chasse moustique à ces heures pour profiter de la balade sans se faire dévorer

Walking

This is a road where you can walk, run or bike. All flat and well maintained. Easy for anyone to get through. It made for an entertaining morning, but I do prefer unpaved hikes.

Very nice walk but I prefer trails with no car accessibility. Lots of places to look at water and bird lookout is amazing in the evening!

Hiking

We were only able to hike for about 30 or 40 min. Made it to the lookout tower and a few more yards before we had to head back to pack the car. The only wild life we saw were the fiddler crabs. I was able to get very close to them by standing still and moving a bit and standing still and moving bit. The best sight was the Tricolor heron the the way to the lookout tower.

Bird Watching

The walk along the Indigo Trail was filled with many species of birds. I was with a group birding and we spotted at least 30 different types. It was amazing.
