Nice easy trail. Parker right outside the AMC movie theatre and the trail entrance is across the street. Walk around the lake. Saw several interesting birds and a bunch of turtles and fish from the bridge.

Beautiful place to explore nature. Live close by and love coming here. Just a friendly reminder, pleas DONT bring bread to feed the animals. Despite some people thinking this is great it actually creates an inability for the animals to scavenge for themselves. Don’t kill the local wildlife by making them dependent upon you feeding them. Enjoy the wildlife for what it is and let them fend for themselves. Thanks!!

Cranes Roost is a nice little park in the middle of an urban area. I like to come here to chill. I like to walk at night, and watch the fountain shows. It's a good place for jogging too.

For a number of years, I worked in offices on East Central Parkway & would run Cranes Roost Park every day after work. This is a very well maintained park on a man-made lake with a ranger station & paved loop consisting of boardwalks on the east & west perimeters. This is a great place for an array of activities including jogging, walking, reading, picnics, & wildlife. The lake is flourishing with turtles, fish & birds. The annual 4th of July celebration, "Red, Hot & Boom," attracts an audience of 100,000 people & there are a number of special events & concerts at the centrally located amphitheater on Cranes Roost Blvd. Uptown Altamonte provides a scenic skyline from the north shore. Cafe Murano (formerly Gina's) is a pricey spot for food & drink, but the most conveniently located restaurant.
