It was fun. I wish the trails were a little more kept up with, but other than gorgeous scenery.

Take a picture of the map in the kiosk. The cathedral is to the left about 200 yards when you get to where 210 crosses the Florida Trail and Shepherd Spring is to the right. If it has been raining, I would advise staying on the roads. We went through long stretches of 8 inch deep water on the Florida Trail on 1/3/21. It probably rained 3 inches yesterday.

Great easy trail! A little over grown but manageable.

Not good for running. Looks like it’s meant for hunting. Very over grown. You’re either running through plants knee high, mushy sand, or rocks. Ticks falling out of the trees like crazy. Horse flies everywhere. No palm trees. Not an enjoyable experience.

I accidentally clicked this route instead of the other one listed via st. marks refuge. no cathedral here, simply follows forest roads. peaceful, but very tame. a walk in the woods.

Not sure why this is called “Cathedral of the Palms”’as there are none on this route. Super easy trail that translates to a nice walk in the woods. It’s a wide service-road-type trail, relatively dry (I had on trail shoes but sneakers are fine). A couple of swamps to see - not much else.
