Hiking

For street runners it maybe good but not for trail runners. Very crowded and noisy. Bikers don’t use the bike lane and ride on sidewalk and don’t tell you when they are passing you. Also most got hit 5 times by cyclists in my two miles of “hiking”. Noisy traffic as well. Won’t be doing this again. I’ll stick to the real trails.

Road bikingGreat!

One of my favorite places in Tampa to ride my bike or go for a walk. This is all paved and runs along the bay. I enjoy the beautiful views of the water.

Today we traveled the Bayshore Blvd Trail leading to downtown Tampa Florida . This is a must see ! Has been the best trail we have been on so far . Clean , nice areas , plenty of places to eat, amazing waterfront views, and free parking We started at Ballast point park which was an awesome place with pier, playground, bait shop, and restaurant. This trail deserves 5 stars

The area to walk on is wide and paved the entire way. Parking can be tricky so get there early at “rush” times. Views are beautiful, but if you go at low tide, it might smell a bit from the bay.

Beware bikers! Lots of walker and runners on the trail on a weekend morning. Connects to the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa. Limited parking, you'll have to park on a side street.

not trail running, as it's a wide paved sidewalk, but is my daily running route. Connects at the North end to the Riverwalk, which takes you another couple miles into downtown Tampa. If you're lucky you'll see some dolphins playing in the bay! sunrise / set is beautiful over the water as well.

This Trail is visually stunning , beautiful old mansions on one side and an open vista across the bay looking toward Tampa . On one visit my group and I were treated to an air show with the military’s finest on display boy what a scene they were . I have gone much further into Tampa along the river walk trail winding through the city and water way but you have go it slow for pedestrian safety but the trail is very wide and the views are stunning . Just one last note at the far end of the city trail are some remade old factory’s like the Armature Winding building with great food and beverages its very worth those last few kilometres .

not much like "trail running" but it's a beautiful paved sidewalk along the water and makes a great run!

Used the coast bikes app to rent a bike from downtown Tampa and road it along Bayshore! Definitely a nice view and it has inspired me to bike more. This was my first biking trail and it was comfortable the entire way!

The best place to park is Ballast point park approximately 0.5 miles from the most southern tip of the trail. The parking lot does fill but there is over flow parking across the street next to the horse stables. I like parking there because there is a slash pad that you can go into after a run in order to cool off. There is no shade along the trail. Sun protection is a must. Very limited water sources along trail from the southern point. There are fitness machines and more water stop near the northern end of the trail that leads to Down Town Tampa. If you want to see dolphins, go during sunrise or sunset hours. These are hunting times during tide shifts.

Great for a morning or evening jog with beautiful views of Tampa Bay. I've run various distances along Bayshore and it's always a pleasant run.

This is more of a long continuous sidewalk. It is an extremely urban area. While it is near the waterfront, it has no shade whatsoever. It does however have several water stops and fitness stations along the way. This trail is excellent for casual bicycle riding, but if you plan on biking fast, you're much better off using the bike lane on road. There are lots of dog walkers, and you will get tangled up in a leash if you're not careful.

A nice place for a leisurely stroll or to get some exercise, with a pretty view of the bay and downtown. Also a little sentimental for us, as my wife is from Tampa and went to high school on Bayshore!

Awesome straight-path multi use sidewalk trail with amazing views. Can get kind of crowded and has some flooding issues present after a good rain.

This couldn't get any easier. As for views the water is nice to look at but your watching traffic at the same time. sometimes it smells like sulfur. nice place to get a tan while walking or riding a bike.
