Please note that hurricane damage has been reported on this trail. Almost a mile from one parking lot to the other and then back again. You can also walk on the path next to the road to make a half mile loop out of it. Lots of side trails if you like to go exploring - including down over the railroad tracks to the beach.

The trail is 100% boardwalk. To get to the beach you have to leave the trail. There is graffiti all over the boardwalk, some areas are freshly painted to cover old graffiti. Pretty heavy traffic, easy walk for all ages and dog friendly.

I LOVED this place. It was my favorite place, always there. After sally hit I’ve gone twice, first time around it wasn’t bad but the train tracks were completely falling over so it was hard to find a spot to go down into the water, this time around they were fixing the train tracks so easier to get down, but it was a mess. Dead fish everywhere, & pretty dang sure there was a dead otter floating around in the water aswell. Water was also a dark orange brown color compared to the *clear* brown/green it used to be.

Board walk ok. Trails around not marked or man made. Nice area. Needs some major work.

This was a beautiful short hike. It is on a boardwalk so it is pretty smooth and shady. They have indicators explaining what you will see on your adventure.

Yeah, never doing this again. Maybe if some local hoodlums would stop writing obscene things on the walkway it would be maybe 3 stars.

Nice little trip to take the family on if you have a spare half hour or want to picnic. The little beach area is clean, you do have to cross a rail road track but it is highly visible both ways so you would be able to see it coming. I wouldn't recommend going at night there is no lighting past the main entrance, and us local teens sometimes congregate at night and can get loud.

I grew up coming here, East Hill boy. First Ill say, this place is not used as much as it should be. There are signs saying its under renovation, but I dont see much work happening. The stairs are cumbersome for people out of shape, so a more logical approach would be replacing the current steps and employing a ramp system. Clear out a few trees and create a view, update the area and bam, our forgotten bay can be loved properly. Now for the walks.....great walk along the boardwalk where some beautiful scenery comes into the view. You do have access to leave the boardwalk to go on the coast, but be cautious of the railroad tracks, trains DO come trough often. Its a great area of Pensacola that needs some attention, but very enjoyable as it is!! Its one of my favorite places to go relax on a nice day...

Fairly easy save for the stairs. Has a beach access but you have to cross over railroad tracks. Also has two entrances with parking lots.

Climbing and straight boardwalk with access to the beach. Views of the water are throughout the walk. Dogs on leash but remember that it is predominantly a boardwalk so there is no place for them to do their business without leaving the boardwalk. There are places to do that. Makes you sweat but it's a good up and down walk and will help with stamina building. You can circle back and repeat the walk to parking areas or you can walk on side of roadway (plenty of room) to return to car. There are two parking areas for both ends.

Awesome board walk! Came out here with my mother, and we enjoyed walking the board walk along the bay. No one was out here, and all we could hear was the wind and water! There is also a hiking trail that runs along the side of the board walk!
