Arcadia Mill Historic Site is a 1.3 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Milton, Florida that offers the chance to see wildlife and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
A nice wooded trail that is great for a little stroll with the family with neat historical info. Be careful as there are tree roots growing in the path. Accessibility: The trail surface is dirt or boardwalk and typically between two and four feet wide. The estimated grade is gentle, all 3% or less, but there are obstacles such as tree roots in the path or warped boards on the boardwalk that may make the route only possible for all-terrain or motorized wheelchairs/mobility equipment or strollers.
It's pretty. Small River is beautiful. Fun to learn about history of a logging mill. Entire Boardwalk was very slippery. Trail after boardwalk is muddy in places, not marked well, lots of roots... stoller for Grands wouldn't work back there. Glad I saw it. Prob wouldn't do again.
The boardwalk portion of this trail is pretty neat. Unfortunately many of the signs are washed out. you can see the UR code, But if you don’t have your smart phone with you that’s not going to help you much. We also walked the parts of the trail that were not on the boardwalk but found that they were not very well marked or described w signs, so I wouldn’t recommend that part.
Its on a very pretty street and all the facilities look up to date including the information boards. The boardwalk is in good shape and the trails into the woods are clear. It's a nice walk, not very challenging, worth doing once just to see the history of the place.
Nice trail. Great for a little stroll with the family. Neat historical info
Nice trail to learn about the mill, and some other interesting facts. Beside from that there wasn’t much wildlife, one squirrel and a lizard was all I saw. The trail wasn’t very exciting, pretty flat, and there was a lot of tree roots jumping out at you. But it was a good trail for information, but not much of a hike, more like a hard walk.
Great trail. Way too crowded on a Saturday to practice social distancing.
