This is a lovely walk on paved paths. There are benches throughout the paths where you can relax and enjoy There wasn’t any place where I had to jump or walk around puddles of water. (It’s been raining a lot lately). If you have young kids, there’s a great park with picnic tables. This is a park that gets used a lot by families, couples and dogs.
It is a beautiful paved trail that leads through a historic homestead to a peer over the St. Johns River. It was mostly shady and the homestead has several swinging benches to sit and watch the water. There were several groups that we passed, but all dogs were on leashes. There is also ample parking and a playground.
nice and easy walk on a fairly good shape asphalt trail, with a small portion of unpaved trail near the river, which was the most picturesque portion of the trail. I felt more plaques with history of the areas former use would have increased the experience to those enjoying the natural beauty surrounding the trail.
Such a beautiful, paved trail that is well kept! So much scenery – from the old homestead, stables, citrus shed, wildflowers and more. Not to mention the amazing, breezy view from the pier and the "off the trail" beach area. There is a large, shaded lawn close to the pier/homestead that would be great to sit and relax or bring lunch to picnic. Also, there is a nice, clean playground area about halfway through the trail that I would definitely use if I had kids. The trail was fairly busy, but not uncomfortably so. This trail is it's own mini paradise!
