Overall easy trail, well marked. Not many views of the water, but still pretty. Some sections are narrow and leaves cover the roots. There are a few scenic offshoots as well as a footbridge
Added more weight to our packs and hit the snow for a little tougher than usual trail.
The trail is flat very easy hike perfect for runners and very peaceful , easy parking
We’ve done this hike often. Not a lot special about it but close to home.
Nice single track dirt trail, well marked and accurately measured out to 5k. Loops out through the woods and then back with some views of the lake. Generally flat terrain makes this an easy one, although it's slightly technical with some roots that can be hard to spot when there are leaves on the ground. Good amount of parking.
Good, flat, easy trail. Markings could be clearer. Overall good trail.
OK trail... except for the freshly use d condom which we spotted at the trailhead.
Trail was okay, but I must have ridden through 100 spider webs. Maybe it was because I was the only one on the trail today...or in the past week
Nice hike, clear paths but nothing more than trees and a small peek of the water but have path to that have over grown a bit
Great wooded trail by Abbott’s Pond. Trail is well maintained and marked. The entire trail is wooded which is nice and goes alongside Abbott’s Pond at some points. A few access points right up to the pond are nice. Bugs weren’t too bad. Nice hike with the pup.
Trail’s were cleared from falling trees. Nice hiking. Cross the footbridge to the large pond. Has picnic tables. Lots of turtles and frogs. I would have giving this trail a 5 star but for the lack of trail markings telling you which way to go. Other then that the only other thing wrong would be people not cleaning up from their pets! Trees were so tall and straight reaching into the canopy. Lots of blueberries, can’t wait till they are ripe. Seen two deer also.
There’s about a mile at the end blocked off from trees down. Overall nice smooth walk not too difficult. Not much wildlife but a couple views of the nice pond.
Nothing special- typical Delaware trail. Flat and not much to see. You’re able to add some extra mileage by adding offshoots of the trail, or exploring the footbridge area. Limited views of the pond but it’s not very attractive. Good for time/distance tracking.
Excellent trail for hiking and exercise with dogs’s (note: must be on leash) . Just a few cautions: small section of barb wire fence a few feet from one section of trail, some old metal debris looks like an old dumping area and a pond overflow drain area. Wanted to give it 5 stars but due to lack of bathroom facilities I can only give it 4 stars. Overall I had an excellent hike with my dog and highly recommend it for other trail and nature enthusiasts.
