An amazing little park outside of Wilmington. A lot of history here in the 1900s when there was a huge amusement park by the lake. Lots of meandering to read all the informative signs rather than just following trails.

The little signs about the old amusement park really add to the hike. Interesting to think what things were like here a century ago

We really enjoyed this trail. It is incredible to think of how there used to be an amusement park in that location. We loved going from sign to sign to read about the history and see the pictures. The hill down and up to the trail is very steep and uneven. The trail along the water is crushed gravel and easy to walk along. There are train tracks near the loop part of the trail. We will definitely come again.

Cool historical markers and info about the past use of the area behind the park. Hard to imagine amusement park and pool existed there. Well shaded and quiet.
