Blue Ball Barn to Brandywine Creek via Northern Delaware Greenway Trail is a 3.9 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Wilmington, Delaware that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from March until December. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
I think this would be a great trail for an out-of-town guest. You get to see the barn and the creek, with a nice wooded trail in between. You get to see a lot in this short little trail!
Honestly I wouldn’t go back. I went on a Sunday around 11:30 and it was packed. Bikers were zooming throughout the trails. Lots of bugs. Best part is to get off the main road and take the dirt paths near the water. Round trip was 4miles and took me 2hrs. Parking costs $8 for out of state and $4 for in state.
