The first part on the orange trail was rocky (not recorded part of our hike), devil’s oven steep incline, walked behind it to orange upper trail to view point. Many trails not on state park map. Buggy

I found the park hard to navigate. There were no trail maps that I saw. just spray paint on trees (blazes). had I not had all trails I dont know that I would of been able to find my way around. However that aside the trail was enjoyable. conditions were perfect ,and it wasn't to crowded. I definetly would recommend ,but be sure to go early as the park does get busy later in the day. when I exited the trail around 11 there was no parking to be found.

we did the Mitchell road parking area up to the falls and found the lower western half of the park most beautiful. We saw deer, a silly huge black (rat?) snake, big centipedes and many babbling brooks. As you approach the falls things get busier but the outlying trails are remote and scenic and have decent elevation changes...we logged over 17000 steps. the north west red trail can get a little muddy. There is also a blue loop that is not on the official map that confused a couple we met so beware...as they were way off track.
