Pretty views of the water. I’ll be back to do more trails another day!

Beautiful along the water. Walks alongside train tracks a bit. Mostly easy with some moderate scramble areas.

Great loop for a 5 y/o. A few little challenges to keep it interesting and a nice flat rock lookout at the halfway point for snacks.

We really enjoyed this hike. It was not too humid out today though, so I imagine it would be buggy when muggy out. It was the perfect amount of up and down for my 5&6 year olds.

My friend and I got a beautiful day and had a great time walking the loop. Be cautious while looking at the lake, as we did find a hawk and were getting close close to her nest. The trail could also use a touch up on its markers in spots. Otherwise, it’s a fun trail, very interesting history, and a great escape!

Lots of up/downs for trail running and the trails are pretty narrow (saw a lot of bike tracks). Some wet/muddy areas, but easy to navigate around.

Love this gorgeous place!! It’s usually quite busy so we come when it’s rainy (like today) or cold. We had the place to ourselves. I noted that it was muddy, but it was expected.

This trail is usually heavily traveled. But today, with 25° weather, we had the place to ourselves! It was beautiful, simply beautiful.

Great trail - lots of little challenges and one beautiful view after another. Though most everyone we met on the trail was nice and friendly - we met A LIT of them! Not a moderate traffic hike.

Great fun 2-3 mile trail, depending on how many side trails you decide to explore. Fabulous views of Lost lake with a few good rocky cliffs that make excellent rest stops with quiet, serene views. Easy to moderate terrain and good amount of shade throughout. Muddy in a few parts and be prepared to do some minimal climbing along the rockier parts trail. Would definitely go back and explore more of West Woods!

Nice hike although I could not find the jog to the right which led to the loop back, so I turned around instead of getting lost. Many fresh trees down around and over the trail.

There are some really nice areas to set up smaller top ropes
