HikingGreat!

Part of the recommended trail is private property. So we had to walk around and went up from the north. The rest of the trail is well maintained and clearly marked. Overall it was a very nice workout. will be back again.

very confusing I followed the blue but on the way back I was trying to find the blue and yellow dot since thats what got me to the top and never came to it. if you follow the blue the whole way you will come out on Quinnipiac reservoir which is not even close to where you park. I should of gone on the red trail since I did see it and that was my fault. i do not recommend walking on the road brooks RD. to downs RD then route 69 south very busy a lot of traffic and its like another 4 miles. also where the parking is i didn't see anything explaining the red trail its just a blue blaze but if you follow it into the woods you will see the split for the blue and red. if you want to make it more simple easy just got out and back as well. the blue trail i followed to get to the Reservoir entrance was Regicides Trail

If you do this loop by this map clockwise the yellow trail near the end is closed and someone painted over the blazes. I was able to hike down it, but there was some rock slide or something so it was treacherous. Also this loop is annoying. The blue part is typical, rocky, roots etc, , the red part is just a walk, on like a dirt road, for 5 miles.....boring, then back up on the blue. Better off just doing the blue to the top and back down.
