It is not a trail but mostly paved roads in a park shared with runners and cyclists. Tried to escape this and took trails to the ridge on the west side. Surrounded by houses, electrical lines and no real views. So many better hiking spots in CT, this one is a suburb park.
The trail itself was beautiful, and there’s plenty of different trails you can take to explore and walk around some more. I got there around 8 on a Sunday and there was almost no one there. By the time I left, around 10, the parking lot was packed with little to no spots available with more people coming in. If you can get there early it’s well worth it
So. Many. Trails. Beautiful views of reservoirs. Very well maintained. Can do flat or hills, dirt, rocks, or paved. Great place to hike.
Very good.. nice paved majority of the way. More of a walk then a hike.. worth it
Great paved path to walk or bike. The only drawn back is if you walk the path backwards it’s hard to gain your bearings as to which way you should go if you want to stay on the red path. Of course ended up near water towers by taking a wrong turn but increased my milage by 1 mile. Word to the wise stay on the path that has bike path on it and you’ll be fine. Great scenery and plenty of doggies !
great trail to run. I would say is not easy, it has it ups and downs. Beautiful.
Great for running, but too many small trails and you do not know where to go.
The place is really nice and scenic, but forget mountain biking...all the trails say no bicycles...you can only bike on the paved road going to the back parking lot. I don't get it. I WALKED some of the trail with my bike, and I see no reason why no bikes. ?? If someone knows why, please comment. It's no different than a Rails-to-Trails ride, just a small bit rougher. Otherwise, will be back to walk, not bike :-(
