Light traffic. Great vista and trail along the river. Rocky. Many roots. Watch for black ice!

Parts of the trail had areas that looked like a small war zone. Many trees down looking like a nasty wind storm or tornado hit it. There were some boggy areas we assumed were from the recent rain ... waterproof boots might be helpful. Just before the descent to the vista view there is an area filled with cairns. Don't disturb them but do appreciate the work put in to create them. The vista views were amazing!

Nice little hike. Still not sure what the devil's oven is supposed to be.

Fun trail. The overlook is great. Easy trail for dogs, too.

Nice trail. Took my four year old and 14 year old and they both loved in. Not too easy but not too difficult. Waterfall was awesome. Even had a picnic. Would go again!

This trail was more challenging than I expected! Lots of climbing up hills. There was some bad parts of the trail where you are unstable on the side of the hill and other parts you are just climbing rocks. I would classify it as a more difficult hike, but doable!!

Moderate trail, great hike to the vista! One of the few Connecticut’s gem.

Definitely some challenging incline areas for true novices. We did the loop clockwise & towards the end, there were some areas not clearly marked due to trees falling, but that was a challenge my kids enjoyed! Also some boggy/wet areas but those will dry out in due time.

Beautiful trail series with waterfall, bridges, and skyline views. Took a few questionable turns but made it back to original trail. 4.2 miles overall with extra turns. Trails need some updating and clearing for the warm weather, but otherwise this is an absolute must!

Nice trail with some moderate challenges, especially along the river bank. Great vista view on clear days. Note: For best route following, do NOT use the park's orange blazes as they only cover the main route - not the more interesting hike.

fun trail , many variations if you want it to be longer, takes about 30 mins of a moderately steep climb to get to the view .. saw lots of wild life taking some side trails back!

Devils hopyard will take you out of Connecticut and into Vermont with its similar river and tree views. One of Connecticut's best hikes.

Decent uphill climb going up to the vista. Made it challenging, but fun. Gorgeous view though!

First time doing the orange trail. A little challenging for us but we had a great time.
